Data Deletion

This page explains how to permanently delete your ShowRadar cloud account and data, both with and without the app installed, as required by the Google Play Developer Program Policies.

1. Delete In-App (fastest)

If you have the app installed and can sign in:

1. Open ShowRadar and go to the Profile tab.
2. Find the Cloud backup card.
3. Tap Delete account.
4. Confirm on the dialog that appears.

This immediately and permanently deletes your cloud account and every row of data tied to it (watchlist, ratings, watched history, and profile details such as date of birth), and also erases your watchlist, ratings, and watched history stored locally on that device. This action cannot be undone.

2. Request Deletion Without the App

If you no longer have the app installed, or can't sign in, email jarod@volatileapps.com from the email address associated with your account (if you signed in with Google) or with enough detail to identify your account (if you used guest backup — for example, roughly when you started using the app and what devices you used it on). We will delete your cloud account and data and confirm by email once it's done.

3. What Gets Deleted

• Your cloud account itself (the Supabase-backed sign-in — Google or anonymous guest backup).
• Your watchlist entries, ratings, watched-episode history, and profile details (country, gender, date of birth, favorite genres, selected streaming services, nickname, avatar) stored in our database.
• Your watchlist, ratings, and watched history stored locally on the device you deleted from.

4. What Is Not Deleted By This

• A SIMKL account, if you signed in with one — SIMKL is a separate, third-party service ShowRadar connects to but does not control. Delete a SIMKL account directly at simkl.com.
• Data cached on other devices you were signed in on, until they next connect (at which point they will also reflect the deletion).
